Stress is the non-specific response of the body to any perceived demand.

Stress happens whenever your mind and your body react to some real or imagined situation. Stress is a human reaction to forces that tend to disturb your normal functional (physiologic) balance (equilibrium).

This refers to any adverse condition or state that affects your normal well-being.

Situations which cause stress reactions are called “Stressors“.
